THE ANTIDOTE TO SUICIDAL EMPATHY FOUND IN CEUTA

I am a newbie unknown on X, yet this post on Saturday afternoon (8/01) has gotten 147,000 views.  Sunday (8/02), Ceuta mayor Juan Jesús Vivas said there were still 10 to 15,000 Moroccan Moslem invaders there. Today (8/03), Vivas reports there are now 3 to 5,000 left.

Here is the full text of my post.  The lesson is clear.  Like stray cats, don’t feed them, they stop coming around.  This is how moral common sense saves Western Civilization.

Simple message of civilizational salvation that needs to spread far and wide

JW X Post August 1, 2026

Numerous reports confirm that by last night: “More Than 48,000 Migrants Return To Morocco from Ceuta” (cf. NY Times, Reuters, France 24 etc.) What happened?  Anti-suicidal antipathy, the antidote to suicidal empathy, that’s what.

So what happened?  They got hungry, nobody fed them.  All markets and restaurants were closed.  They had to sleep in the streets on asphalt and concrete, nobody tented or housed them. They had no clothes, many not even a shirt, no blankets, nothing.  They were not welcome, they got anti-suicidal antipathy, not suicidal empathy.  The local Ceuta residents universally told them, “Get the eff out of here, go back to where you belong!”

And so they did.  Is there a lesson here? Ya think??

MEET THE NEW CHIEF OF POLICE

On July 22nd, Madison, Wisconsin police encountered a suspicious person who they thought might be trying to break into cars or steal bicycles.

Indeed, they found the suspect—one Corey Ruiz, whom they apparently tried to detain as he rode away from them on either his bike or someone else’s.

A struggle ensued as three officers tried to subdue Ruiz, and Ruiz allegedly pulled out a knife and cut an officer with it.

Despite this use of a deadly weapon, the cops tried to take him down with a non-lethal TASER, which we talked about in a previous article here.

It proved ineffective, so an officer shot Ruiz; a measure that was effective in stopping the threat.  The suspect died.

As is the fashion so often on modern police departments, the leadership felt the need to schedule a press conference to offer some explanation of the event ahead of the investigation being finished.

But this day, it got taken to another level.

A HEAD FOR AN EYE – WHY DISPROPORTIONATE FORCE IN WARFARE IS MORALLY REQUIRED

On Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that Tehran would answer America “an eye for an eye,” which he intended not as proportionality but as a threat.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded that the President’s policy is “a head for an eye.”

The usual pearl clutchers erupted in horror. But this is exactly the right policy. And not just “right” in the sense of “correct.”

War is terrible, and should not be engaged in lightly. But once the decision is made to go to war, America must use disproportionate force to actually win, as it did routinely prior to Korea and Vietnam.

The days of Colin Powell’s “you break it, you buy it” rule are over.

Iran—which has considered itself at war with the United States for 47 years and acted accordingly—can stand down, stop attacking its neighbors, stop attacking civilian ships, stop destroying civilian water plants, stop attacking hotels, or we will compel it to do so in the most “convincing” ways available.

Which one is up to Tehran.

ICE SKATING IN HOUSTON

On July 7, 2026, at about 7 am in Houston, Texas, an ICE agent fatally shot Lorenzo Salgado Araujo as they tried to arrest him during an immigration enforcement operation.

As the details, and the disputes over them, continue to resonate, it is generally accepted that ICE sought Araujo, who was a Mexican national, for arrest during a “targeted enforcement operation.”

ICE said that Araujo tried to run over an ICE agent with his vehicle, resulting in that agent shooting him.

Araujo died later at a hospital.

This unfortunate incident took place in a region of Texas that really isn’t the Texas most people think of.  Culturally closer to Louisiana than cowboyish inland Texas, it’s a patchwork of different sorts of people.

OPENING THE DOORS OF ISLAM

Avicenna 980-1037

[This Monday’s Archive was first in TTP on December 21, 2006, almost 20 years ago.  We need its message more than ever today. Please let me know what you think in the Comments or on the Forum. Thanks – JW]

TTP December 21, 2006

The threat of Islamofascism – whether in the form of murderous terrorism by such groups as ISIS, the acquisition of nuclear weapons by the Mullahs of Iran, or invasion of Moslem “refugees” orchestrated to Islamize the West and America – has become one of the gravest national security threats to Western Civilization.

Islamofascism is a barbaric ideology, motivated by a fear of the modern world and a desire to return to the medieval Dark Ages of the 7th century. Ultimately, defeating Islamofascism cannot be imposed upon Islam from without.  The solution to Islamofascism or “Radical Islam” must be a competing ideology replacing it within Islam itself.

Thus it is argued that what Islam requires today is a Reformation with an Islamic Martin Luther.  This is the absolute last thing Islam needs now, the triumph of faith over reason with resultant bloodshed and sectarian slaughter lasting over a century (ca. 1520-1648) and costing the lives of millions, almost half the entire population of Central Europe.

That horror was the Reformation.  What Islam needs instead is an Enlightenment.

It turns out there is a term in Arabic for enlightenment, for analysis and interpretation through reason, that has an honorable tradition in Islamic jurisprudence and thought.  Get to know the word, for it is the salvation of Islam:  Ijtihad.

HALF-FULL REPORT 07/10/26

Finally!  If Winston Churchill were here today, he’d no doubt be thinking of Donald Trump exampling his famous quote: “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.”  The Khamanei funeral in Tehran with all the “Kill Trump” signs in English was the final straw.  So now it’s:

Okay, we’re off on a HFR you’re guaranteed to enjoy.  Here’s a teaser on coming attractions:

THE DEMOCRAT DEATH CULT

[This Monday’s Archive was in TTP on July 1, 2016. Ten years later, the Democrats are more of a death cult than ever. What can each of us do to help our POTUS get rid of them?]

TTP, July 1, 2016

Tana Toraja, Sulawesi, Indonesia. There couldn’t be a more appropriate and exotic place to discuss death cults than here.  In the distant highlands of central Sulawesi undiscovered by any Westerner until little over a century ago, are a people called the Toraja who take propitiation of their deceased ancestors to a limit unmatched anywhere else.

Yet most interestingly, the Toraja have combined their ancestor worship with a devout Christianity.  Tana Toraja (the Land of the Toraja) is a Christian haven within the world’s largest Islamic population.  Churches here are as plentiful as mosques elsewhere in Indonesia, while a giant statue of Christ towers above Tana Toraja high on a mountaintop.

The Toraja are a people with deep pride and confidence in the worth of their culture.  If there were anyone among them who lacked that pride and confidence, who felt ashamed and apologetic of their culture, they would be despised.  If that someone felt so ashamed and apologetic that they wished and worked for their culture’s destruction, they would be regarded as demented.

There are such people among us, among our fellow Americans.  There is a name for these people:  Democrats.  And it is critically important to understand something fundamental about them.

AMERICAN ECONOMIC STATECRAFT IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Thank you for the invitation to be here on this wonderful occasion.

As a long-time member of the Economic Club of New York, I know that it occupies a place of great significance in our nation’s discourse.

For generations, few institutions have done more to shape how we confront the defining questions of the day.

And yet, across all those years, tonight’s gathering is without precedent as we assemble on the eve of an extraordinary moment in our history.

Over the coming days, we will celebrate 250 years of the American story and the proposition with which it began: that a free people answer to no power but their own.

But milestones of this magnitude demand more than ceremony.

They ask something of us. They invite us to reflect on the creation of our country, of course, but no less, on its condition.

Indeed, the most fitting way to honor those who founded this nation is to meet the great challenges of our own time with the same resolve that they brought to theirs.

And in that spirit, under President Trump’s leadership, the U.S. Treasury is working to restore economic security as the foundation that allows a nation to fulfill its most basic obligations.

In my remarks before the Economic Club of Dallas, I detailed how the structural vulnerabilities that we allowed to accumulate over time precipitated a drift into dependence.

And last month before the Reagan Library, I noted that under President Trump, America has awoken to the risks we can no longer ignore and is now attuned to the responsibilities we can no longer neglect.

So tonight, I would like to take the next step and describe our strategy for economic statecraft, by which I mean the disciplined use of America’s economic power in service of our sovereignty.

YOUR LONG-TERM GOALS HAVE TO MATTER TO YOU

Where do we find the energy to achieve big, long-term goals?

How can we persevere over time and through adversity to create something that requires a commitment of several years?

Simple. It has to matter to you.

Not just a little bit. It has to matter enough that you’ll see it through.

When someone calls me for coaching, once we’ve established the goals that they want to accomplish, one of the first questions I ask is “Why is it important for you to reach these goals?”

If the reason is something like, “My parents want me to…” or “My boss wants me to…” or “I’m supposed to…” I know we have some work to do before we get to the nuts and bolts.

Somebody else wanting us to do something is rarely a strong enough motivation to make changes in our lives. And reaching big goals usually requires making big changes.

Changing behavior, learning new skills, overcoming personal limitations – all take consciousness, time and willpower.

THE WORLD’S OLDEST WAR

Marcus Aurelius – Hapsburg Palace, Vienna

[This Monday’s Archive was first in TTP on September 23, 2016. Obama’s execrable 8 years were finally coming to an end, and the Dems losing their minds over the possibility of Trump. Ten years later, again finally, both Europe and America are done with the world’s oldest war, with scores of mosques in Texas and an Islamofascist from Uganda running New York, with mass patriot protests all over Europe, now, against the Moslem invasion of their countries and the governments that allowed it.  This time, at last, it’s time to finish the job.]

 TTP, September 23, 2016

Vienna, Austria.  This is a particularly apt place to discuss the world’s oldest war.  It’s been continuously running for almost 14 centuries, and it’s getting worse today.

First, however, let us note that Vienna has more history, beauty, charm, class, and friendly people than just about any city in Europe.  It leaves Paris in the dust.

Just one example.  Vienna was founded by the Romans as Vindobona in 15 BC on the south bank of the Danube.  On March 17, 180 AD, Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius was in his ornate tent in the center of the Vindobona fortress, having just won a victory over marauding Germanic tribes.

For many centuries, the street in Vienna along the traditional location of that tent has been called Schwertgasse – Sword Street.  That’s because on that day in 180, the Emperor’s son, Commodus, murdered his father with a sword thrust.  In the movie, Gladiator, Commodus smothers him – but nonetheless, the movie depicts real history.

Aurelius to this day is revered by Austrians.  That’s why there’s a huge statue of him in the courtyard of the Hapsburg Palace or Hofburg in the center of Vienna.

For the next thousand years, the people south of the Danube adopted and lived by Christianity, oblivious to the war that had emerged in the Middle East, Asia Minor, North Africa, and Spain between their fellow Christians and people calling themselves Moslems.

HALF-FULL REPORT 05/29/26

Welcome to another exuberant Half-Full Report! I’m Rod Martin, filling in for the irreplaceable Jack Wheeler, with lots of good news to share. Let’s get started.

We begin with our HFR Loser of the Week - John Cornyn (RINO-TX). What can you even say for an incumbent U.S. Senator — since 2002! — who dropped $111 million dollars, outspent his opponent nearly 10-1, and still lost by 2-1?

Oh, that’s easy. You can say Donald Trump now owns the Republican Party.

No sitting U.S. Senator has lost to a primary challenger since Dick Lugar (RINO-IN). Now Trump just took out two in two weeks. But that’s not the half of it: Trump is now 117-0 in 2026 primary endorsements!

But it just gets better. Democrats are losing the map, with hits from all sides: the end of racial gerrymandering, errors in the census, and above all, Americans fleeing to red states by the millions. Top it off with mass deportations and the story gets ugly for the Dems. We have details.

China’s map isn’t much better. Trump is bringing about China’s Great Reversal. It’s a story the Enemedia won’t tell (and frankly doesn’t understand).

This HFR is chock-full-o’-goodness: why Trump is in no hurry to open the Strait of Hormuz, why China won’t approve Russia’s desperately-needed gas pipeline, why ExxonMobile is leaving Delaware, why Sam Altman finally quit fearmongering about AI job destruction, plus Ron DeSantis’s first-in-the-nation abolition of property tax on primary homes.

All that and more in tonight’s Half-Full Report. Let’s dive right in!

SOLAR WARMING

[This Archive article is "Solar Warming", originally published in TTP on September 29, 2005: almost 21 years ago.  Think of the trillions of dollars wasted on the hoax of Global Warming aka “Climate Change” since then. Yes, trillions, the greatest scam in human history, which perverted science (the only way a scientist could get a government or NGO grant was to “prove” it with GIGO computer models, never to disprove it which is the essence of real science), when it was nothing more than an evidence-free rationale to replace a failed Marxism (after the collapse of the Soviet Union) for fascist control over everyone’s life.

Today, the article argues that Climate Hoax has been a hideous insult to the memory of Americans who died in military service to defend our freedom.  Now finally, with the UN admitting there is no Climate Apocalypse on the horizon, the hoax can be abandoned – albeit 21 years late.]

TTP September 29, 2005

Take a close look at this rock and you’ll see it’s a fossil: it bears the imprint of a leaf.

The leaf is 50 million years old and is from Axel Heiberg Island in the High Arctic of Canada, 600 miles from the North Pole. It was given to me by a scientist working there while I was on one of my North Pole expeditions.

He explained that 50 million years ago the Arctic Ocean was warm – not just ice free, warm. The weather back then on Axel Heiberg, which is far more north than all of Siberia, was like Florida is today – with forests, including huge redwood trees, and lots of animals like alligators and turtles.

The entire Earth was warm during this period known as the Eocene, which lasted some 22 million years (55-33 mya, million years ago). Al Gore probably thinks George Bush and SUVs are responsible. Clearly, according to Gore’s way of “thinking,” they also caused the Medieval Climactic Optimum between 1000 and 1300 AD, when farmers grew wine grapes in northern England and raised sheep and dairy cattle in Greenland.

Eco-fascists like Gore hype the threat of “Global Warming” because they believe it is currently the best way to gain fascist control over people’s lives. Thus they hype hysteria over “greenhouse gases” – and never discuss the extraordinary benefits of more CO2 in our atmosphere.

WHY DEMOCRATS DO NOT BELIEVE IN DEMOCRACY

[This Monday’s Archive was originally in TTP on October 29, 2016, the eve of the election of Trump 45. It is a ‘nutshell history’ of how the Democrat Party lost its patriotism. It’s important for you to know how the Dems got there, with AAG Todd Blanche confirming yesterday (5/17) that DOJ Has a Ton of Evidence the Dems Rigged the 2020 Election that stole the presidency.  Which also confirms Dem intentions to rig the midterms this coming November. As a must-read Archive, please let me know your thoughts on the Forum – JW.]

TTP, October 29, 2016

They did once.  In the Reagan years, my best friend in Congress – indeed, my best man at my wedding in 1986 – was a Democrat, Texas Congressman Charlie Wilson.

Charlie was as pro-American as they come.   “A larger-than-life America-loving Communist-hating true-blue patriot who used his power and influence to the max to stick it to the Soviets big time,” as I described him.  He was a passionately partisan Democrat who wouldn’t hesitate to put his country before his party, who had the utmost respect for Ronald Reagan.

I can only imagine the depth of Charlie’s revulsion and disgust over what the Democrat Party has become today.

It has been a long time coming.  Here’s how and why it happened.

CINCO DE FARSA – THE FIFTH OF FARCE

Welcome to the TTP’s annual May 5th tradition of explaining la verdad, the truth, about today. That’s so you’ll understand why it should be called Cinco de Farsa, The Fifth of Farce.

Last Tuesday (05/05) millions of us gringos celebrated May 5th. Yet Cinco de Mayo is a phony tradition, a joke on Los Norteamericanos, then exploited as a marketing gimmick by Tex-Mex restaurant chains as an excuse for us to get wasted on José Cuervo.

Yet before you get lost in Margaritaville, here’s the true history of Mexico. You’ll learn more about Mexico’s history in ten minutes than you ever did in school or anywhere else. With plenty of cool maps so you can win any bar bet on what really happened – plus an awesome John Wayne video clip at the end that’s very explanatory.

To begin with: Nobody in Mexico cares about May 5th. Only we, us gringos, pretend to. For if you ask just about any reveler at the nearest Pancho Villa’s Cantina or some such Mexican-themed bar anywhere in the US just what is being celebrated on May 5th, you’ll get either a blank stare or “It’s their July 4th ” ignorance. So here’s the real story.

HALF-FULL REPORT 04/17/26

Tuesday (4/14), Louisiana’s Sen. John Kennedy at the top of his game, bullseye truthful and belly-laugh funny at the same time.  True, true, true… the caveat is that the GOP is not just “far from perfect.”  It’s become too far from being patriotic.
